Well, that was a damn good takeaway. I don't know how I've gone through my entire life without knowing about a dish so delicious as Pad Thai (rice noodles in sauce with meat, which is a pretty nondescript way to describe a very individual dish), but it's now an immutable part of my life.
Last night, I watched the latest Babylon 5 telemovie, which aired in the USA in January. Being a pilot, it had its share of things that didn't work, but on the whole I thought it highly enjoyable - certainly it knocked the spots off the original B5 pilot. Those characters that got screen time certainly seemed to be interesting... the plot seemed like a bit of a rehash but I don't doubt JMS's abilities. I hope it gets a series.
I'm debating whether to watch an anime movie on the Sci-Fi channel tonight: 'The Castle of Cagliostro'. It's an early film by Hayao Miyazaki, the creator of Princess Mononoke and Kiki's Delivery Service, a giant figure in Japanese animation whose artful and enchanting movies are loved by children and adults worldwide. It's an excellent movie (I've seen it once already) but it doesn't finish until 4am... well. I guess I don't really need to sleep.

There is nary a word or scene out of place in the entire thing. Every element comes together to form an exquisite story for cinema. I believe that one reason that this movie is under-appreciated is that people have not seen it multiple times.
Things have unquestionably advanced in the past month or two regarding eReaders. In the past names like Sony with their ebook reader were the principle competitors but then arrived Amazon aided by the Kindle and subsequently, Apple inc with the exquisite ipad tablet. I surmise the development of these electronic devices is really motivated by a selection of high class e-books that now fill the market. I have taken the plunge and bought an ipad tablet to cater for my e-books and the user interface and useability of the gadget is impressive - I would recommend it to anyone even though it is far from discounted....
I think I'll have time later today to come back and read the last half of this. So far it looks very interesting...
I like reading and at the beginning I did miss a bit on the feeling of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seems to work very well, it is really like reading books... Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired... And I now prefer to manage all books inside the Kindle rather than my never big enough bookshelf... And like to do bookmarking, annotation, dictionary lookup without any additional thing but a Kindle.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface.
