After futzing around one time too many with the embodiment of cackness that is my dad's Samsung Digimax 350SE, and it being the season for spending money and all that, I've decided to treat myself to a new digital camera -- preferably one that doesn't take 30 seconds to start up and run out of batteries after 20 minutes.
I'm thinking Canon Powershot A620.
In fact I'm thinking I'll order one right now.
Good choice Chris, I've spent quite some time researching different cameras and it seems that the A620 is the compact to go for right now - you have to get something a lot bulkier to get significantly better picture quality. I've ordered one to replace my broken A80.
Nice to hear!
Where are you ordering yours from? I ordered one of the bundles from Pixmania, but oddly they've shipped the bundle as 5 separate packages — my camera and case arrived yesterday, a 512MB SD card and USB card reader today, and my batteries and charger are currently in Valencia, Spain, due to an error on DHL's part... Seems a bit strange because I only paid about 9 quid for P&P and it's surely cost them more than that to send 5 packages by courier from Paris.
Boring old ebuyer for me... apparently it should be arriving some time today.
I have been looking at getting a digital camera for weeks, but I still can't decide what one to get!
